Colombo → Chilaw (Munneswaram)
Airport pickup and drive to Chilaw. Visit the ancient Munneswaram Temple, one of five ancient Shiva temples (Ishwarams) in Sri Lanka. According to legend, Lord Rama prayed here to Lord Shiva. Continue to your hotel for rest and dinner.
Chilaw → Kandy
Drive to Kandy through picturesque countryside. Visit the Manavari Temple (believed to be where Vibhishana was coronated) en route. Afternoon visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Evening cultural dance performance at Kandy Cultural Center.
Kandy – Local Temples
Full day exploring Kandy's Ramayana connection. Visit the Bahirawakanda Temple, explore Kandy Lake, and the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya. Visit local Hindu temples and learn about the mythological connections to Ravana's kingdom.
